ROSEBURG, Oregon. -- Three Idaho men were arrested Thursday after Oregon State Police officers discovered marijuana hidden in their vehicle.
According to OSP Sergeant Dave Randall, at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Thursday, an OSP trooper stopped a 2007 Ford Focus northbound on Interstate 5 for a traffic violation. The three vehicle occupants were identified as driver Paul William Coppini, 24, of Kuna, and passengers Tanner Scott Leedom, 20, also of Kuna, and Bryan Joseph Perry, 20, of Kimberly, Idaho.
Subsequent Oregon investigation during the traffic stop with the assistance of an OSP drug detection canine led to the discovery of approximately three pounds of marijuana concealed in the vehicle. The estimated value of the seized marijuana is $7,500.
The three men were arrested and charged with unlawful possession and delivery of a controlled substance – marijuana.
OSP Drug Enforcement Section detectives are continuing the investigation.
